James W. Reason, III, born in 1963 in Houston, TX, is the son of the late James W. Reason, Jr., a renowned jazz pianist, and Lillie L. Reason. He has two sisters, Alma Reason Gills and Angela Reason, and is the proud parent of Jalysa T. Reason and Jarren W. Reason. On July 6, 2013, he married Janete Pradia Reason, a Worship Leader of the Labor of Love Praise Team, Women of Distinction, and Konnect 4 Ministry Leader, enriching his life with joy and purpose.
James's musical journey began in school, excelling in trumpet and later keyboard in various bands, earning accolades and scholarships to Southern University, Grambling University, and Texas Southern University (TSU). He explored his musical talents outside of school, forming the "Quiet Storm" band and collaborating with fellow musicians, producing acclaimed albums and theme songs.
In 2000, James embraced a spiritual calling, dedicating his life and talents to God. He volunteered in various capacities, including Minister of Music in several churches before joining the Labor Of Love Christian Fellowship Church under the leadership of Pastor, Dr. Alvin W. Gills.
James and his wife, Janete, have been integral members of the church from its inception, contributing to its establishment and growth as charter members. They played a pivotal role in birthing the church and have remained faithful to its mission from the very beginning.
Today, James W. Reason, III, continues to share his God-given gift, enriching lives with his music, alongside his beloved wife, Janete Reason.
